It is human nature to get defensive when someone pushes us either physically or verbally. We love to defend our point of view. When was the last time you tried to see from a prospect or customer’s point of view? It’s easy when you place your prospect or customer at the center of the relationship. Remember, it’s all about them. It’s not about you.
The best way to see from another's point of view is to ask questions and listen. Listening and questions are the key to all communication. So in the future, if someone sticks you with a pin don't say OUCH! Ask questions to see it from their perspective or point of view. Guess what? You may Learn something.
