In the society we’re living in, life is all about money. The more money you have, the more power you have, so to speak. The old saying of “money can’t buy me love” is not true today. People feel that in order to be happy they must have money. It’s sad, but so true.
In business, people have a tendency to say and do whatever is needed to make an extra buck along the way, even if that means hurting or betraying someone to make it happen. Why does our lifestyle have to be this way?
People need to sit down and look at the whole picture before they decide what they are going to do to make money. A little training, possibly a new skill, and background information is that’s required for a salesman to make an income.
Another valuable tool is to learn about the people you frequently do business with. Once you understand what they like and who they are, you’ll be able to help them better. When you memorize the things you need to do in your business you become a machine and that’s not good. You need a heart and you need some compassion for others.
When you turn yourself into a caring and understanding sales person you’ll have more business than you thought would ever be possible. You’ll build friendships and business relationships and this will in turn produce more business. Word of mouth is huge when it comes to sales. It can bring more business than the most expensive ad you can place. It can also kill your career if you don’t work your business the right way.
When you have these qualities and you forget about the money factor, you’ll go a lot further with people. They’ll be happy and buy more from you, and they’ll share your business with others. It’s important to people that they know you care about them and you care about helping them. Money is the end result, but it doesn’t have to be about everything.
