What is sales leadership?
I am not talking about being number one on the leader board. Are you helping your prospects or customers make decisions that are good for them? Our prospects and customers should be at the center of the relationship. It's all about them. It's not about us.
What's in it for them? Why should they follow you or your advice? Do you come up with great ideas and solutions that solve their problems? How have you demonstrated they can trust you? Do you show up on time? Do you do what you say you are going to do? Do you finish what you start?
Great sales leaders lead with powerful ideas that can help solve problems in ways their prospects and customers never thought of or even dreamed of. Maybe your target audience is not even aware they have a problem or a need. I didn't know I had a problem until Steve Jobs unveiled the iPhone at MacWorld in 2007. He showed the world the problem with every smartphone on the market. Watch the original iPhone launch HERE.
Have you read Carmine Gallo's book, The Presentation Secrets of Steve Jobs: How to Be Insanely Great in Front of Any Audience? If you want to learn how to become a master communicator or sales leader, read this book. It is a must.
